I know it is still very much up in the air at this point (no pun intended), but i was wodnering if anyone has any idea about the upcoming refresh of the MBA?

This has been beaten to death in many other threads. You will be able to find the answers you are looking for by searching the forums.
It should have a Xeon G5 i9 CPU with an Nvidia Octo GPU and a 1024GB SSD with S-ATA 4.
Those are the rumoured specs, but I guess we will get something less powerful. Maybe a Celeron or something similar. It will include SSE I guess, but the traction on those prohibits prejudicial rejuvenation of the exterior shell I presumedly assume.
