That's weird, from how everyone on these boards praises Firefox, I would have thought more people used it...

*Slaps wrist* Shame on you! :p :D
I don't know about other users, but my traffic on evenings and weekends is Mac/FF and my traffic during the week is sometimes Win/FF, because I use our lab computers, although recently, I've been bringing my iBook with me, so I can run simulations on one screen and surf on the other. :D

When I'm at work (and forced to use Windows) I use a local install of Firefox as it's the best browser on Windows. I find that it's not quite as Mac-like as I'd want it to be, so I use Safari on OSX. I'd imagine that quite a few people feel the same...

There're a few regulars who use Shiira too. And maybe a couple of Opera'rs. If Camino and Mozilla are considered part of the other group, then I bet they're the biggest part...

i think OmniWeb is the only browser that is NOT free out there, unless you count paying for an OS a cost for a browser (ie Safari and IE)
Camino is free, as are the vast majority of em out there
i just want to see some improvement in Camino, its been a while since an update was released for it

Actually IE is free. Linkety (http://www.microsoft.com/mac/products/internetexplorer/internetexplorer.aspx?pid=internetexplorer) And it is "integrated" into Win98 and up... but it was free for Win95, too. Just wasn't integrated into the entire operating system.

I use Safari on my Mac and Netscape on Windows only because Safari isn't available for Windows and I can't stand MSIE.

I too would like to know the browser percentages by platform. Perhaps arn can get that information from the server.
I predict a very low percentage for Safari on Windows.

Interesting idea. I guess we will have to see.
I predict a very high amount of people using web browsers to access MacRumors.

Some of us who want (read:need) to continue their MR habits during working hours are reduced to this pitiful state by IT's insistence on IE as the only sane choice... our work Macs are not connected to the intarweb.
I much prefer how MR looks on the Mac at home.

Quite a lot. There's plenty of time while the Mac has a progress bar of some sort or the other. Whether it's ripping/distilling stuff or burning disks...
Over the winter months, I've also become one of these pitiful creatures that eats their lunch at their desk which is just another excuse to quickly dive in here and read and post some nonsense.

Indeed... drives me nuts. I keep asking if they could distribute a Firefox build but nope, IE it is with flash and direct x turned off - which can make looking at sites tricky!
The only thing I prefer about MR on IE is that when using the enhanced mode in replies, it drops in the text at the right place rather than at the end.
I avoid lunch at my desk - but teabreaks get spent there! ;)

At some point, my Firefox / Mac started doing this, too. It didn't use to. It made me so happy. :) I think Firefox does it for me on Windows, but I'm not 100% sure.

I use Camino. I switched to it from Firefox...haven't regretted it for a second. It's FireFox for OS X.
It's also pretty zippy too.
