my ipod touch 2g which i recieved for chirstmas in 08, it seems that the battery is completely broken, i turn it on and play angry birds for like 5 mins brightness down all the way, wifi off, bluetooth off, and it still dies after the 5 mins, should i get apple to replace it or just flat out buy a new 1. or are their anymore companys that can repair them for cheap.

You can buy battery/tool kits for the Touch pretty cheap and there are tons of online guides on how to replace the battery. The Touch is still a great music player with BT and WiFi for internet access and email, if you can replace the battery for under $50 it is well worth doing IMHO.

Heck, I have a 4g Touch and an iPhone but I keep my 2g for use in the car and as a remote for my MBP/ATV2 etc.
