Hi all,
Is it possible to load Windows 7 on to an external USB 2.0 hard drive and still be able to use it on my MacBook Pro? I really don't feel like partitoioning my hard drive... Also, has anybody found a cheaper alternative for Optibay? Does Optibay work well?
Thanks,
Mordy

External USB does not work reliably. Period. The is a complicated path that usually works for XP, but not 7.
Optibay generally works, but you may still have issues that require rEFIt.

rEFIt is a boot menu and maintenance toolkit for EFI-based machines like the Intel Macs. You can use it to boot multiple operating systems easily, including triple-boot setups with Boot Camp. It also provides an easy way to enter and explore the EFI pre-boot environment.
