This may have been covered, but, I could not find it.

My iPod is currently loaded with 4.3.3.

Is it necessary to use iTunes to Restore to 4.3.3 then sn0breeze to Jailbreak, or can I just make sure I am backed up in iTunes and jailbreak?

Thanks in advance.

I am sorry I can't answer your question with all certainty, however, the best place to post threads on jailbreaking for the iPod Touch would be in the iPod touch Hacks (http://forums.macrumors.com/forumdisplay.php?f=115) forum.

No, you don't need to restore. Well, I don't know for snowbreeze, but with redsn0w you don't need to. At least I didn't and it works. Yet I highly recommed backing up. Because if you or the program mess up, well, you know, restore to the latest backup. Which I had 2 months old (yep, I don't know how).
