Pirates of the Caribbean 2 better come quickly, because this career is heading for the crapper. Although she can always fall back on modeling young boys clothes. :D

Oh, your just asking for a mod mini beating aren't you... :D
Don't you know the lengths edesignuk will go to to protect her good name?
I'd not be in your shoes Mr. Durden ;) :D

Now you've gone and done it. A certain mini mod gets a mite irritated when you compare KK to a young boy.
I agree, though. That trailer looks like so much rubbish.

Not good for the prospects of the movie if the trailer is to #%$^ to watch it all the way through...

Yes. Thank you for the warning. I'll take my shoes off right away. :)
But seriously. There are no words to describe the utter horribleness of that trailer.
What do you think, edesign? Crapfest or no?

As much as I'd like to go off on one, and as much as people are probably expecting it....Domino does look like a big pile of poo, that trailer was awful
Yes, I did just say that
Hell, everyone makes bad films, and this looks line a fine example. Looking forward to Pirates 2 though, and The Jacket looks decent from the little I have seen.
...now...
"modeling young boys clothes."!?!?!? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr........
hmmm....where's my...oh, there it is....:D

Actually, e might agree. He hates/hated the short hair, which was cut for this movie.
On the other hand, I like the short hair, and the movie looks like good mindless entertainment. "Million Dollar Baby", no. But sometimes that's what I'm looking for.
Also, if her career goes into the toilet, then she will be more likely to be wandering London, despondent and in need of cheering up. So, again, I'd think e wouldn't mind.

Ah, so he did agree....
Honestly, the trailer doesn't look that bad to me. Catfights, underwear scenes, guns, models, bikinis, some excellent character actors. I'll bet it's a fun watch.

Hmmph. Click on e's sig to get the latest image. Those are not hips which could model young boy's clothes.
I think you meant "young boys shirts".

Nice to see the sense of humor, edesign. Actually I posted this just to see what would happen, what with your fondness for her and all... :)
Your right, though. Everyone makes a bad movie every once in a while. I'm a big fan of Angelina Jolie... (pauses to day dream for a moment, then takes a cold shower), and she dosent make the greatest character/movie choices either. BUT... I'm always ready with my $8.50 at the theater. :D
Counting the days to Mr and Mrs. Smith.

I don't like the trailer, but could be an entertaining movie if it doesn't take itself seriously.
"Black-tino"
Hehehe.
That part was funny.

I think the question is can she have a long term acting career or is she just a hollywood flavor of the month right now.

:D :pWith short hair and no makeup, in those types of clothes... she'd even be a thrilling enough for Michael Jackson. ;)

Well, Domino is directed by Tony Scott, who did Top Gun and Enemy of the State, both movies I enjoyed. He also did Man on Fire which I hear is good, but I have not seen it.
So, regardless of Ms. Knigtley's appearance in the movie, it might be worth the matinee big screen shoot-em-up fun factor.

Her voice in the trailer sounds so god awful amateurish. "Heads you win, tails you lose?" OMG. Haha. I like the intense look of the movie, but if its like that through the whole movie, it's going to be crap to endure through.

But even if the movie is ok...for the love of all that is good and decent WHY do that to her? You want her to have a long Hollywood career? Put her in the situations she is best at: looking pretty with long hair and not talking. This pisses me off!! Get that girl in a Bond film, stat!

Although Tony is not as good a director as his brother, he has a good grip on Action movies, and this one could be all right...

There are some actresses which are gorgeous and fun to watch but always appear in horrible movies. Angelina Jolie is probably the most glaring example. Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Alba would qualify too, in my opinion. Hopefully Keira won't show up in this list.

I don't consider Jennifer Lopez attractive at all. Jessica Alba, now that's a cutie.

Word. That Sin City trailer (http://www.apple.com/trailers/miramax/sin_city/)... *shudder* :D I will go see it for her alone. Fortunately, the rest of the movie looks pretty good too. ;)

The bit at the start with the machine gun is a bit ridiculous...
In my opinion Keira Knightley is like Natalie Portman without the charisma. I don't know how anyone could choose Keira over Nat.
Lacero
Mar 29, 2005, 09:49 PM
Don't forget, Keira is pretty stupid too. You should see when she gives interviews. Natalie Portman on the other hand, she is a goddess and should be treated as such.

Pirates should be a lot of fun and will hopefully make up for this a few others she's done. You have to wonder why she chooses to do the movie....

Keira! Keira!
The sequel to the box office smash, Pearl Harbor, in which she plays a buxom blonde nurse caring for a downed English pilot whose face was burned beyond recognition. Ralph Fiennes plays the pilot.

Funny, I was working ona comic book that was using this type of running theme, only a little less silly, and it didnt have anything remotely Keira looking in it for a main character.
Eh whatever,

At least Kate Beckinsale got a good role for herself in The Aviator.
