How to access iMovie trash??

I've been avoiding putting things in iMovie 09 trash AMAP because I do not know how to view the contents of trash or how to empty the trash.\\


Please tell me where the trash is. You would think it would be accessed through the menu bar on top but I don't see trash under any heading there.

About time I purge the extraneous stuff from my iMovie. I'm sure there is a boatload in the trash. Hope someone can help. It may be right before my eyes but I have not seen it yet.

AHhhhh- thank you so much Dave. I just looked in the normal trash and I see a slew of temporary iMovie items from my recently completed project. I was expecting iMovie to be configured like iPhoto which has its own trash apart from the general mac trash.
