StatCounter (http://www.statcounter.com/) is pretty good. Free, easy to install, plus you can make it invisible...the interface is a tad cluttered though.

Another vote for StatCounter. I've always liked their service, and it's free too. They have a paid service that has a few nice extras, like a larger log (so you can keep track of more than 100 page loads at a time). However, the free one has always met my needs. Oh, one more thing: you can have them e-mail you weekly with reports and pngs of the stats like country, browser, os, etc. too.
And no, I don't work for StatCounter :D.

StatCounter. This service makes other "free" counters look like toys.
There's also http://www.extreme-dm.com/tracking/
I have never used their service.

If your webhost provides php and mysql, then install and use Audistat - I've used it for over a year and it provides loads of information, including referall urls, so you can find out where your visitors come from.
