I am a new Mac user and wanted to start ripping my cds and create a high quality library of backups. I have been using XLD and have been ripping two sets of files, FLAC and mp3 (for iTunes). I wanted to check older rips I have from when I used Easy CD-DA on a Windows machine in the AccurateRip database. Anytime I "open folder as a disk" in XLD I get a message, "This CD was not found in the CDDB". Can someone point me in the right direction? Also, I have some rips that I have not saved cue sheets. Are they important and should I re-rip those again and start saving cue sheets from now on? Any help or advise would be great!

Good question, I am also curious. If anyone could give us some insight that would be great.

As for the cue sheets I believe you need them to burn the flacs back to CD and have them be recognized in the AR DB. The cue sheet doesn't affect audio data, but when you have it you can burn it again with the correct offset.
