Raven VII, I'm ready to welcome them, too.
aricher, good point, did you take Latin in high school? I did, but forgot everything except "Et tu Brute?"

No Latin for me but my Mom was always a stickler for proper grammar.

apparently use the remaining six arms for camouflage
I can see all the predators now...
"Geezus Bob, I wish there was a tasty octopus around here to eat."
"Don't you know it Tom, so do I. Unfortunately, there's just that walking something or other over there with 6 arms. Guess we better move on."
Whew.

Holy crap.
You know how you watch those weird monster get-ups on Lost in Space -- things that look like bipedal cabbages -- and you think, "How outlandish"?
Wellllllll...not so much anymore.

Explain. Is this a repost? If you found it on another board, it's still new to us. Why pejoratively mirror his "I, for one" construction?

LOL! :D
Well, this poster was... possibly a little hasty earlier and would like to reaffirm his allegiance to this country and its human president. It may not be perfect, but it's the best government we have.... For now.

Potential DOOM 4 game featuring Octopus Overlords? That'll be cool! Imagine the game having marines in the deep seas fighting walking octopi!
An Octopus overlord holding a variety of weapons with it's 6 arms , "Join us or die!" and chasing you with the other two arms.
Sorry, been playing way too...many video games. :D

Does anybody besides me like the silly "Bear City" skit on Saturday Night Live? I was just imagining those octopi reading newspapers, driving cars, and trying to talk to each other in English without success. But I guess it'll take a few more weeks of evolution before we meet them on the street corner.
