System Preferences -> Mission Control --> Uncheck Automatically rearrange Spaces

It absolutely amazes me that we are looking at the GM and you still can't rearrange spaces

'Cmd+tab'ing thru applications in separate desktops auto groups those desktops together. So if I have Chrome in Desktop 1, Photoshop in Desktop 2, Spotify in Desktop 3 and Coda in Desktop 4, if I cmd+tab from Coda to Photoshop, they are grouped and the desktops are ordered 1, 3, 2, 4. But a simple drag to re-order would be nice. I'd be surprised if that's not coming.

I was just searching for this function as I'm designing an Apple rumor site right now and switching between Photoshop, Illustrator, Coda, Firefox and Safari like a mad man. I like being able to swipe between the spaces with my Magic Mouse, but was hoping there was an easy way to move some of my spaces together for faster swiping without having to manually rearrange everything. Well, there's always 10.7.1 and beyond! Or maybe a hack... *crosses fingers*

It would be nice to always have my Mail and/or iTunes always in the space left of my main desktop (where dashboard is...or use to be before I hid it!).

I really hope Apple adds some kind of customization to Mission Control!
