problem transfering music and photos to PSP...

hopefully there is a PSP owner who can
help me out...

everytime i transfer a song or picture onto the
memory stick for my PSP from my mac it shows
up on the PSP as the song/music file as well as
a "corrupted data" file.

for instance if i load 2 songs, i also get 2 corrupted
data files...

ive tried to transfer directly from itunes and iphoto
as well as transfering directly from the folder where
the actual file is...

is there some trick to getting this to work right? i cant
even delete the corrupted files without reformatting
the whole memory stick...
