yeah, though I can't see the graphics yet the text seems to be the fairly uninspiring message above. the hype machine is definitely winding down- guess it's already done its job though, as I'm here at almost midnight just to stare at a website;) I can't wait for the Keynote! My money's ready Stevo, whad'ya gonna give me?!

Maybe Steve & Time broke the story so that we could have a slim chance of the Webcast not being overloaded...

Maybe not... I'm hoping to see the webcast, but I'm not couting on it.

favor with this whole wireless thing. But go to this link. If it doesn't come out right (im new at this) got to YAHO, finance and enter ELNK in the search area and look up the article about hot spots.

http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/nf/20011227/tc/15487_1.html

The article talks about a wireless internet connection thats 200 times faster then 56k. The article does discuss its testing hotspots for business travelers in 750 'hotspots" but why not apply this to the consumer as well.

ELNK is partners with Apple as well.

is anyone with me on this idea.

Sky Corp, I think, launched some satellites back in October for wireless internet. Yet there focuss, Ibelieve, was on customers in rural areas.

However, you have the computer Apple, the ISP earthlink and the satellite provider Sky Corp.

whose with me..

hi guys!
I'm living in Japan, with just a 56k dial up modem from my iBook combo. Can I watch the broadcast over quicktime? Does any one know what time it will be if I'm in Japan?

GOOOOOOOOOD!! I can hardly wait until he reveals the "stuff"! From that TIME article, the iMac seems to have a G4 chip, which would mean the Powermac must be CONSIDERABLY higher in speed... maybe..just maybe...
(Do you know what I'm thinking?)

I read in the newspaper and cnet-news that Bill Gates is introducing a new Microsoft Tablet computer this evening!
Is that why Steve Jobs has his speech today?

When can we connect to the streaming video? Usually Apple has views of the auditourium an hour in advance. 15 minutes to go :) (I only had 4 hours of sleep and im on a lot of caffeine so im easily freaked out right now,on the plus side i seem to be typing 150 WPM)

I can't see the stream!!!
I've been logged on since 8:45 and have refreshed a couple times and I can't watch it.

I even tried to use my other browsers, Omniweb and Netscape, to no avail.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
