Place your bets: Time that the Apple Store Website is down

wasn't the UK supposed to get Lion and computer updates before the US? I read somewhere it would go live for them at 1am (I assume EST, which would be 7am UK time). The UK store has not been updated nor is it down and it's 12:35am EST right now.
 
^I heard that too. hopefully within the next hour we'll find out

im really sorry this is the first time ive been waiting to see new mac stuff haha
 
Maybe it was going to go up in the uk at 1am EST and they got the times zone wrong, that would make sense a 6am release there
 
I can see Lion hitting the Mac App Store at 1am ET maybe, but I think 6am ET is more reasonable if there are Mac hardware updates.
 
i forgot that i'm on EST this week and not CST like normal. The UK is only 5 hours ahead of EST so it's almost 6am there.

Seems like there should be more rumors out if the refresh was happening Thursday. I'm getting the feeling it may happen next week instead. I hope that's not the case.
 
If the updates (we know Lion will come for sure, and maybe new MacBook, MacBook Airs, and Mac Mini), the prediction was that this would happen Thursday July 14th. That will happen (as usual if it does) around 2AM PST most likely. That would be 5AM EST at the latest. So not for a few hours, at least, if this is going to happen THURSDAY as predicted.
