I'm doing a presentation on Apple's Xgrid technology and I'm throwing a whole pile of stuff into iMovie for a slideshow/video at the end of the presentation. I need some really awe inspiring adrenaline pumping music.. the problem is I don't have anything that really fits what I'm looking for in my library at the moment.
Electronica, hard rock, heavy metal, and movie trailers is really what I'm looking at...
What do you guys recommend? Keep in mind I want people to just feel a great surge of adrenaline in themselves when they watch this presentation.
Ideas?

In which case, you'll be wanting Tin There (edit) by Underworld, as taken from the Wipeout 2097 (or Wipeout XL if you're in North America) video game soundtrack. It's the most ridiculously adrenalin fuelled piece of music I've ever heard - stupidly fast and complex.
Works best when played very, very, very loudly.

Nice list Yellow! :) I know a couple of those Republica songs, but I had no idea who sang them...you definitely added a couple of items to my shopping list!
BTW, any idea what's up with the two different versions of the Republica album, under Pop and Rock? Some of the tracks have slightly different lengths, but I'm not sure if I can tell what's different about them, if anything.

I don't know, actually.. "Ready to Go" was the only song I ever liked (because Saffron is hot). Once I hit the iTMS, I saw that there was a UK version (orig) and a US version (the one I was familar with). That was the first time I'd ever heard of it. :)

Smashing Pumpkins - Gish has some good ones, Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie will have a greater variation. Silver**** from Siamese Dream is great!

Try to be a but more hip. There's nothing less cool than someone who uses "cool" music from 1996 to try to make a video or commercial appeal to lots of people. Don't use Song 2. ;) At least use songs from this millenium!!
Bloc Party's "Like Eating Glass". Try that, especially the chorus 2m 30sec into the song. It just seems to get faster from that point on!
Or Muse's "Hysteria" or "Stockholm Syndrome". or "Hate To Say I Told You So" by The Hives. All these are good, loud, fast rock songs.
"Turn The Page" by The Streets if you don't mind the English accent and UK garage rap. "It doesn't have a chorus at all and just keeps the same kickin' beat.
Maybe an older song (from 2001?) by Röyksopp called "Eple," or "Star Guitar" by Chemical Brothers which is also from that time.
Daft Punk's "Robot Rock" may be usable, but its not as loud and fast as the other songs. Still fast though. ;)

This is a great series of music guys. Some of these are definitely going to appear on the video. Now here's a question... does anyone know of some great electric guitar solos with some bass and drums thrown in there. I'd almost say I'm looking for something like "Nightwish" minus the singing. Just something at the end of the movie.

What You Waiting For? - Gwen Stefani
I think this is a good adrenaline song. Nice, steady beat, that is a little bit of rock and electronica. It's a little bit...what's the word...chirpy?
Any of the iPod ad songs would work (or not).
