Hello I'm planning to get in shape and wanted to get an iPod for running bike and gym

So exept the hdd what is the diff between the 2 and which one is best for gym

2 I can't install the Nike app on either right???

You can get the nike + dongle for the nano.

The nano however lacks physical controls to change songs.
Nano has better capacities.

When you're running or something you might find it easier to change tracks using a Shuffle as it has physical buttons as opposed to a touch screen (like on the Nano) which may prove more difficult when you're running.

The nano might work with the apple earbuds that have the remote.
