Facetime? Lion? Which version?

If you have purchased the Facetime app via the Mac App Store, when upgrading to Lion, is it replaced by the native copy bundled with Lion, or does your App Store purchased version remain?

That makes sense, but would not follow the iLife logic for example, whereby copies bought on The App Store do not update via software update.

It upgraded the beta version I had downloaded when it first came out to the latest version (I never bought the release version from the app store).
