i want a ringtone of a part of the song. but i can not find it to download.so i want to DIY, but i do not know how to do it.

i want to make a ringtone but i do not know how to do it

You can use Garage Band but if you're not good with music production, just search for the ringtone by name, for example Artist : song name, on Google.
-In iTunes, right click on the song you want and select Get Info
-Under options, specify the start and end time of the session of the song you want the ringtone to be
-Exit out Get Info and right click on the song again, this time select convert
-Find the converted file under iTunes folder. Rename the extension to .m4r
-Drag the file to iTunes, and sync with your phone
These are the steps on top of my head. There could be some errors but you get the idea.

instead of the steps that say delete file and the keep file, i jsut drag it from itunes to my desktop so i can find it faster then rename it to m4r and double click the file and it adds it back to my ringtones folder in itunes

There is an app you can download from the iTunes App store called Ringtones. I have it and it works pretty well.

Easiest method here.
1.upload your song you want to use
2.start it at the length you want using the waveform and cut it to under 30 seconds
3. Download the file to your computer desktop
4 drag the m4r into your ringtones section on iTunes
5.select ringtone and sync to phone
