With the Mini Displayport port gone, is it going to be possible to still use a "regular" monitor??? I have a Dell 22" (1920x1080) monitor I use as my secondary, and I would hate to not be able to use it anymore.

I sold my original MBA a couple weeks ago to get one of the new ones, but if I'm stuck waiting on a Thunderbolt-compatible display, I will probably just pick up a used original MBA or one of the refurbs.

Tbolt port is still a DP port. You should be able to plug in either a DP monitor or use a DP adapter to convert to DVI or VGA signals (sold as options on the order page of the new airs)

Or go with monoprice.

They should have what you need there. I wonder if an adapter that will let you daisy-chain the thunderbolt will come out.
