FAO: Lion GM Users..

If you got Lion illegally it's never going to show up in the Purchased list. Same as any other application obtained outside the Mac App Store.

It just says it's installed, but if you go to review Lion in MAS, it'll say, "You need to purchase this app before...".

Meaning, it knows you have it installed, but it knows that you haven't bought it.

I may have obtained it illegally and yes it absolutely does show up as installed in the app store. You can do this with any app quite easily and get the updates for it. Get a free app like say cloud, copy out the package receipts and replace a different applications receipts. Done.
