When I change it on one of the desktop windows I naturally want them all to change, but the rest of the windows retain the old wallpaper. Is there an option to make them all change at once or is this some sort of bug?

Yes, when I do that the new ones get the "new" wallpaper. But if I change it again, the same thing occurs. Does it do that for you too?

Each new desktop is a separate desktop; not an extension of the previously existing ones. So, if you change the wallpaper on a desktop, it doesn't follow that the rest will change too.

That would be a nice feature to add as a preference, but a non-existent feature isn't always a "bug."
