I have just got my hands on an old 40gb laptop 2.5" HDD so i bought a enlosure on eBay, and connected the drive and it mounts fine.
In disc utility i can only erase, not format, the option simply isnt there, also, then i unmount the HDD, there is no power button on the enclosure so i have to unplug it from the USB and plug it back in again to mount it, is there an easier way of re-mounting a drive that does not have a power button on it?
