Backing up/Sync contacts

what's the best way to get contacts from iPhone to mac and backing up contacts. I don't like using microsoft exchange.

I tried to get some contacts that I put in manually from my iPhone to my mac and I lost all new numbers. MS exchange didn't seem to sync them into google contacts.

google sync; uses exchange mechanisms, syncs with the goog OTA, losing you no data; just make sure you're putting new contacts into your goog account, and not just saving them on your phone.

obviously, you'll be able to do this with icloud once ios5 comes out, but this is a good stopgap.

Check out PhoneCopy in the app store as an alternative, I use it, definitely recommend it (free also) 🙂
