4GB to 6GB ram on Early '08 MBP

Hi all,

I have a 17" Early 2008 MBP 2.6Ghz currently with 4GB ram installed and have been thinking about upgrading to 6GB. My question is will I notice a performance increase and does it justify spending $114 to upgrade?

I'm thinking of buying the 6GB upgrade kit from OWC. I just upgraded to a faster, roomier HD and with Lion out, I was hoping these upgrades would give me a performance boost.

If it matters, I primarily use it for Photoshop/Illustrator CS5, Starcraft 2, watching videos and web surfing.

Check your RAM use. Are you using it all? Also, why is the RAM you're looking at so expensive? I bought 8GB 1333 RAM from newegg for around $60 shipped.
