Geometric Patterns in Photoshop/Illustrator..

Anyone know a good resource for some tutorials on creating nice repeating patterns in PS/Ill.

www.podlob.com has some good ones in the background.

I know how to define patterns then fill > using pattern in PS, but I just want a bit of advice on creating something that looks interesting.

Anyone know if there is a good source of illustrator pattern swatches?

I don't like making them, as I only ever use them for quick visuals. Is there somewhere I can legally, safely download existing new swatches?

Apart from Adobe.

I'm after a nice paisley in particular, but am interested in any available...
