So I am on the computer a lot for what I do an am wondering what the best option for the battery is. I will be taking my computer to class in the fall and have 6 hours of straight class. So after that it will be basically dead and I will have to charge it. My question is once it is charged would it be better for the battery if I unplugged it or left it plugged in while I worked? If I unplug it I will be going through about 2 cycles a day and don't think that is the best for my battery.

There are no adverse effects using the machine while it is plugged in was it switches over to outlet power once fully charged.

It's better to run on battery when you need to, and plug it in whenever you can. Once fully charged, it will stop charging, even if you leave it plugged in. Just don't run plugged in all the time. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:
