Problem with 3gs?

I posted about this a while back but I'm still not sure what the problem is?

I'm not sure what to do, it's not allowing me to restore and doesn't show up on iTunes?

It's stuck on the Apple logo?

Advice?

Plug your phone into the computer and put it in DFU mode.

An iPhone can usually always be put in DFU mode. Are you absolutely sure you're doing it correctly? Sometimes I find that if I'm not pressing the buttons hard enough it won't work.
