Any recommendations on what kind of sleeve, screen protector, or palm protector to get for thew new MacBook Air 11? I plan on using it in class most of the time and don't want to get it too dirty.

This is one of the most highly rated cases I've found, but it looks so strange to me, I'm not sure if I'll get it or not;

I read a few reviews complaining about the quality of the zipper. Specifically that they tend to break where the rubber meets the metal on the zipper handle itself. How would you rate the quality of the zipper? Is it a ykk zipper?

Moshi palm protectors are excellent. You would never know you had one on and they don't detract from the MBA aesthetic.

Yep the two come together.

I prefer not to use the trackpad guard myself, but it's of the same high quality as the palm guard :-)

hmm.. $20 for the guard(s).. I think I'll buy it.. but I still need a sleeve and/or screen protector.. But would anti glare screen protector be good? Like the ones from eBay where you can get 2 for $14...? Or should I go with the ones from Power Support?

i just got the incase neoprene sleeve. i think in some places it's referred to as a 'plus'. there is an incase sleeve that has a zipper, but this one doesn't. i like it, but it is a pain to get it in and out. not sure i feel like returning it. i'm hoping it will get easier to take in and out the more i use it. it also feels kind of thing. this will be used inside an stm bag so i really don't need my sleeve to protect necessarily.

I'm sorry, should've typed "ordered" instead, I'll let you know about the zipper when it arrives. Most of the reviews I read were outstanding.

I didn't want a fancy sleeve, I need something that's rugged and can withstand impacts and protect the MBA. It will be in my college backpack most of the time. The bubble design is great at creating an extra surface area for cushioning.

Looks really nice and much smaller than the pictures make it seem. Still waiting on my Air but it should fit pretty well with the elastic strap. About .25 inches thicker than a skin I would say.

I had one on my 13 and got one for my new 11. It gives over time and is easier to slip on. I liked it for the neo piping along all four edges that gives it an overall edge padding that many other sleeves lack. Sides are just right and not overly thick.

I don't have it for my laptop, not planning to get it.. but using it on touch screen devices, it doesn't feel smooth at all if you compare it to other screen protectors.

Invisibleshield is too shiny which adds an odd look to the aluminum surface of the Apple laptop. The only one that works with Invisibleshield is the white Macbook.

Try Wrapsol, it matches the aluminium finish and less obvious..Take a look at my pictures.

iCarbon skins go on real easy and look wonderful. They come in black, white and maybe some other colors. If you ever struggled to get an iPhone clear skin on correctly and without defects, iCarbon's MBA skins are a relief to put on. They use a high grade 3M vinyl product, the kind that artisans use to do vehicle wraps.

I concur. The edges are almost invisible due to the good cutting. However, when it gets dirty, sometimes it is difficult to clean it to the same new look. Still is a good product to prevent shiny keyboard keys and spills. A must for Apple keyboard as spills can anytime and costly.

I've had this for my MBA Rev A. I sold the MBA and am about to get the current 13" MBA and use the same sleeve. It does a good job and protects well as I lugged my MBA around and put it in my backpack. I have the asphalt Orion...

i have ordered this:

it is half the price of the zagg's shield and i can highly recommend this stuff. they guys behind it are really accommodating. i recently ordered a full body skin für my iphone 4 and it had a little grain in the screen skin - nothing special. i mailed them about it and i got a free replacement - to germany where i live (so please excuse my bad english). very good service. and the skins are better cut and not so bumpy as the ones from zagg. they cover the edges too as you may see in the pictures.

@MilkMan4, For the 11.6MBA, the answer is no. It doesn't cover the corners/edges if you actually refer to the sides but since the Air is so thin. The Wrapsol already has covered over 90% of the area. Yes, the palm rest is also covered. I tried the Power Support micro fibre/suede palm rest guard on other Apple laptops but refrain myself from using it on the MBA because the Power Support one wears out over time.

For the trackpad, it is the same material and it has a slightly tacky feeling which I prefer over the PowerSupport one that I used on other Apple laptops as well. It is a personal preference. FYI, the PowerSupport one is smooth and even smooth in appearance but the downside is over time it will wear out having a shiny look.

The part of the Wrapsol design which I am not too fond of is the bottom piece. While the fitting is flawlessly edge to edge, the Wrapsol designer has decided to discourage people from tampering the bottom from time to time ---- the film covers on the top of all the screws (look at my pictures in detail). Unlike the Macbook Pro where they will leave the cutouts as the Pro is designed to let the user open the bottom, swap some parts, etc.

Wrapsol said they will replace the film when you have to take the Air to service.

The good thing for this design is it is much easier to install for most people since lining up all the holes for the tiny screws can be a problem.

Another thing ---- for 13" I think Wrapsol design still covers party the area on either sides of the keyboard.

The Zagg is the worst film I've even seen. I give them credit for being the first one to use it on gadgets. However, the orange peels are horrible, especially on the old black iPhone 3GS. What are they thinking?

http://www.ilounge.com/index.php/backstage/comments/macbook-air-11-gets-moshis-muse-specks-seethru-satin/

I'm leaning toward the Speck SeeThru Satin because my tiny messenger bag won't accept anything but a minimal sleeve.

The Speck case provides protection while adding just enough rigidity to prevent dents and flexing of the MBA. The "skins" that I have looked at don't offer enough protection without the addition of a sleeve.
