New iPhone 4 Earpiece Volume

Just picked up new Verizon iPhone 4 and noticed the earpiece volume is not that loud. Is this a known issue and is there a fix?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had the 3GS which had a louder volume and also my previous Evo was much louder.

Has anyone exchanged their Verizon iPhone for another with better volume?

We assume you have tried increasing the volume using the side + - buttons whilst in a call.

Yes, and also removed any packaging film.
