How can I get my main HDD to show on my deesktop with Lion?

this might sound like a dumb Q but how can I get my main hard drive to show up on my desktop? it use to be there with Snow Leopard but no longer with Lion.
 
In Finder press CMD + COMMA. It will open Finder Preferences. On the first tab you'll see "Show these items on the desktop". Check "hard disks" and you're good to go 🙂
