Installed Windows using Boot Camp and created the USB key via the automated steps. Unfortunately, the installation created a W7 Home install vs the W7 Professional (that I own) and now cannot activate since the key isn't recognized for Home.

Thinking it is just a flaw in the automation, as I can't find any steps during the installation to verify/correct the type of install.

UPDATE, so I tried again simply using the ISO to USB software from Microsoft thinking it was a problem in the Apple conversion but same outcome - it installs the Home edition. I got it to correctly install Professional when I opted for the DVD-based install.

Browse to the "sources" folder on your Win7 USB drive and delete "ei.cfg".

Doing this will cause setup to ask which version of windows 7 you want to install (instead of automatically installing the predetermined one).

Thank you, I'll remember this next time I need to reinstall.
