Since upgrading to Lion I have a really strange bootup and login:

white apple -> what looks like a screen saver -> I touch mouse or keyboard -> blank screen -> enter my password + enter -> I'm logged in.

Video:

I have screen saver set to "never"

any suggestions?

I have the exact same issue in Lion 10.7.2. Glad that you bought it up. Any fixes or update?

The strange thing is, recently I have replaced my hard drive by Apple Care as the hard drive was failing. After a fresh Lion was installed and I restored image, this problem happened again. My wife's 2010 MBP doesn't have the same issue though essentially we have the same setup and applications.

Problem solved -- uninstalling the Air Display. However, it is still a puzzle why my other Mac laptops , while with Air Display w/ Lion installed, don't have the same problem.
