Hi, I have a 2002 700 mhz eMac. i think the optical drive is broken, because its not recognizing any discs at all. i couldnt even boot from the apple diagnostic test cd. i have searched all over google. can someone help me troubleshoot this.

It is actually very easy to replace the optical drive on an eMac. Google "eMac optical drive removal"
