MBP won't powerup - bad mobo?

Basically I have a buddy who has a 13" unibody MBP in perfect condition. Only problem is it won't turn on. He offered to sell it to me for $350, and I've considered buying it just to see what I could do with it. But does this sound like a bad mobo? I'm assuming these are extremely expensive and not really worth my time.

Any ideas?
