Before I sold my 2010 mini, I used CCC to clone the HD to an external. It had Lion on it.

What is the best way to transfer this to the new mini? Do I need to erase the HD on the new mini? Should I clone it first to another external HD first?

Reason what I am doing this is my wife would like her settings, ect to be the same without having to set it up from new.

TIA!

You can't clone the 2010 hard drive onto the 2011 Mini. It won't boot. My suggestion is to clone the 2010 image onto an external drive and plug it into the Mini. Then using Lion's Migration Assistant, migrate the 2010 stuff to the new Mini.

Thank you!

Worked perfectly.
