Every system is susceptible, but most mac vulnerabilities require user consent, and unfortunately people say yea sure. If you know what you're doing, you don't even need antivirus on a Windows machine.
If you need antivirus for a network (such as a campus or employer) then I would recommend ClamXav.

No viruses exist in the wild that can run on Mac OS X, and there never have been any, since it was released 10 years ago.
