mail, itunes, safari. slow fps all over the place. itunes being the worst example.
do you experience this as well? i hate this much more than i hate inconsistent interface choices.

Without knowing much about your system specs it is hard to give an opinion.
Are you trying to run Lion on the lowest recommended hardware with 2GB of RAM?

I do not have many problems with my 2010 MBP.

 sigh. as in opposed to 10.6.x where these apps ran smooth as silk.
i'm talking about 60 vs approx 20 fps.

compare coverflow in itunes with the one in the finder and tell
me if they both appear identical to you. you should at least see
strange scrolling accelaration in itunes. then scroll through a longer mail
in 10.7 and compare that to 10.6.x
logic has always been terribly sluggish and i didn't complain.
but now it's just too much. this is a 2011 i7 imac 8 gigs of ram with the 6970.

Cover flow I can catch waiting as I scroll. I shows a generic Music Note icon in iTunes or in the finder a generic icon, but that is expected as I zip through files. If I slow down it is not a problem and the system can keep up. The iMacs have been having graphics issues with Lion as it stands, so I expect much will be fixed in 10.7.1

I found this, at least in 10.7.0, on *all* the machines I tried in the local apple store. Even iMacs and MacPros with way more CPU & GPU horsepower than you should need to get a nice smooth scrolling effect. (This was shortly after 10.7.1 was released, but evidently hadn't been pushed out to the display models.)

Has anyone seen any improvement with 10.7.1 on a particular hardware configuration? It's the one major gripe I have with Lion at the moment.
