I voted iPod, cause I'm hoping to get my Palm out of my pocket when not working.
If I can make additions to the Palm while working, then sync them via Palm Desktop to somewhere, and then have iSync dump my calendar and contacts into the iPod, I'll have less pocket clutter (a huge goal of mine).
I still want my devices consolidated into one!

Hmm... I'd like to be able to choose two options, phone and iPod...

I voted for Palm (primary reason, but wait...) and for Bluetooth. I have a Palm Vx, a Siemens SL45 (MP3 phone) and I too want convergence. The phone will get replaced one day (64MB is NOT seriously enough for anything) and I want to lose the Palm - I'm sick of the realignment issues and carrying clutter.
All I want is phone numbers, addresses and the ability to make a phone call. The MP3 player is sauce for the goose, but it's now no longer a necessity to me.
Gimme a color phone, iSyncable, that can suck up my hundreds of addresses and appointments, so they can live simultaneously in my iBook and iPhone. That's all I want (sounds like a P800, huh?)

I would use it for my phone if I could connect it to my computer, but unfortunately that isn't an option so....
absolutely nothing.

GeeYouEye has it right - especially if we're to sync calendars in iCal efficiently, or move systems. I'd like to plug my iBook into the network (or firewire, but preferably the network), find a syncable system (like my g4 desktop) and recentralize everything: apps, mail, documents, etc...) Kinda like a big Palm Pilot...

Apparently this is do-able with a .MAC subscription. What I would like to see is a way to have your own central sync server.

Okay - don't flame me, but I bought a .Mac account hoping for just this. At $50 a year, I better get some nice services...and this is a deal-maker for me.
