As far back as I can remember, the Force Quit command would get you out of a Finder lockup... Since upgrading to Lion, I've had to restart my computer to get the Finder to restart several times. What's up with the finder not relaunching?

Have you tried holding down the Control-Option keys and clicking on the Finder in Dock to select Relaunch Finder?

Yes. Hold down poer button for second and restart seems to be the only option I know of.

Try this:

Open up Terminal
"cd" to "~/Library/Saved Application State/"
"rm -R" the Finder folder.
Then relaunch Finder twice

It just happened again. I was trying to transfer files from an Airdisk to the desktop and I had to shut it down. Terminal wouldn't even open.

Lion is retarded.
