Wife has a 2 mo old iPod Nano.
Uses it when she runs.
Today she noticed that the music just stops and she has to keep going back and restart the music.
Thoughts??

I have had a 6th gen nano for about 6 weeks now. Mine has never done what you describe in your post.

Try powering the unit off holding the volume down button and the power button at same time until you see the apple logo pop-up on screen. This reboots the nano.
If that doesn't work, re-sync all your music with iTunes.

Rebooting seems to have helped.
Called the Apple store where I purchased the unit.
They acted like this had never happened before <g>.
Ill see how the reboot works
They told me to make an appointment at the Genius Bar if problems continue.
I'm disappointed in Apple that this happened.
I've been an Apple customer since the Apple II days... Pre- Mac.
Hopefully this isn't a commentary on product reliability.
I'm on my 3rd iPhone. Other 2 just died after 9 months.

Apple isnt flawless. Tech is tech. Things will happen. Defects will occur. Life goes on.

Does she use headphones with built-in remote and mic? If so, sweat gets into the remote and triggers things. Try using headphones w/o a remote (regular headphones).

>>Does she use headphones with built-in remote and mic? <,

She uses the basic Apple headphones.

I reset the Nano and so far now... no issues. I'll keep that in mind though about the headphones.

Thx.
