I was running the official Twitter app and, using iStat Menus, noticed that the temp for my 2011 MacBook Pro's CPU went up to 72C! Normally, it idles around 40-45C at home, and a bit lower at work (the A/C is set a lot lower than the temp I enjoy from the breeze of Waikiki beach at my house). Normally, such a temp increase only happens when running either Flash or Silverlight (online videos or Netflix, respectively). I never noticed the temp rising so high with Twitter before, but I've only run it sporadically since installing Lion.
Has anyone else noticed this behavior? My only option thus far has been to exit from Twitter, after which the temp decreases back to normal levels.
