I just recently bought a new 13 inch MacBook Air and I realized that I would be better off exchanging my 128GB model for a 256GB one.

How do I boot into Disk Utility and format my drive before returning it?

Is there any way to do this?

There is a away, but not too many people have that model yet. You might want to take it to Apple Store, or call them. Another suggestion is to go to Apple Message boards https://discussions.apple.com/index.jspa. Have you try looking into your manual?

Maybe someone here that does have a new Air or MacMini will chime in on how to use the recovery.

Boot to the recovery partition and use disk utility to wipe the disk clean. Hold command+ R during boot.
