Im using a very nice android app called Sweet Home!( http://www.appbrain.com/app/sweet-home-wifi-picture-sync/sweesoft.sweethome ), that automatically sends your photos to a shared folder on your computer when you plug in the charger. Its using SMB to send the pictures.

It worked nice i Snow Leopard but after i upgraded to Lion it does'nt work anymore... :(

Is there something different regarding SMB in Lion?

Yes. OSX Lion does not use SAMBA, it uses a custom built SMB Protocol by Apple. I have been trying for the life of me to get some information on what exactly the differences are other than it doesn't work the same

I read some were that you could install a new version of samba, but it felt like a huge project. Installing xcode and using lots of terminal commands...

Hopefully some smart person can find a solution to this, i think there are many people that depend on SMB...

I am not surprised to hear you are having issues with Apple's own SMBX. I am also having issues with it. Here are some of the issues I have had as well.

So without Samba (SMB), it might be some time until all the bugs are out of Apple's SMBX software.

Thanks

We are going to go past it all and use ExtremeZIP for most of our Mac assessable shares. Im not willing to be a production beta tester for Apples new protocol.
