Personally I've had an LC III, an 800 MHz iBook, and my current 1.25 GHz G4 tower. My brother owns a Performa 5260, and used to have a Colour Classic. He also had a Classic II on 'permanent loan' which he gave back when he got the Colour Classic.

iBook G4 (800)
3x Performa 5400 (160)
PowerMac 6500 (300)
2x Classic II (0.5?) ;)

The iBook is really the only usable one at the moment though. I really should get rid of the others, they collect far too much dust which is hell for allergy sufferers (me :( ).

I've gone through a fair amount of Macs (most of which still probably work) in my time, but currently I have an SE, a Quadra 660AV, a PowerTower Pro 250 (I know, not an Apple, but in my opinion Power Computing made much better Macs than Apple did at the time), a Lime iMac 266 sans CD drive that I got for $5 a month ago, and a Powerbook 400 that had the screen ripped off. The screen is still being used to keep all 8 megs of VRAM in one place. I'm probably going to use my tax returns to grab a Mac Mini or an iBook on the cheap and join all of you in the modern Macintosh world.

WOW

Sweet collection   :D and you have just about everything from the top shelf PM, PB and even an Xserve :D
When I first came to Japan in 2000, all I had was my old P100 Toshiba laptop.

For a desktop I started with just my TiBook hooked up to an old 17" CRT, an Apple Studio monitor I think. After that I got the G4 PM, then the G5. My boss actually gave me the B&W free :D I would sell the B&W but these days in Japan they're dirt cheap so it's not really worth it.

The Xserve I got used for $1,000 so I jumped at the opportunity. It sits in a closet now doing nothing

Most people call me rich, but almost nothing in my collection was bought new. It looks like I spent a fortune, but I really haven't. ;) Shh, don't tell anyone though.

I'd like to add a Cube, and maybe a Duo 2300 (the only PPC Duo.) Also, I have no iMacs :(

, a g3 ibook with a g4 update,

What does that mean ?

G4 flat panel iMac- It's old, and obsolete, but it still gets used everyday. Perfect IM, email, word processor, iPhoto stuff machine for the family. Sits right in the living room like a decoration and still draws plenty of "ooh's" and "ahhh's" from visitors. My favorite mac design w/out a doubt.

1.25 GHZ eMac.- Big, clunky, heavy, and perfect for me. This is my main computer and it's a work horse. I hide it in the corner of my office and work it to death. Never complains. Old faithful.

iBook G3- ehhh, what can I say. Apple threw in a clunker with this one. I use it everyday, but there's nothing on this computer that isn't on the eMac as well. Can't take any chances with this one. It's a problem waiting to happen, and I know it, but I still like it- in spite of the constant problems, and the 1 1/2 hr. battery life. I guess OS X really is that good.;-)

Cool system, and great selection of OS's.

I am looking at trying BeOS some time soon on one of my older PowerPC systems

I'd really like to find the latest (or last) PPC release of the BeOS. I'm guessing it was BeOS R4. I also hope that I will be able to find Rhapsody DR2 somewhere.

1984 Sinclair QL x2 (boxed)

Ooooo, the QL. The only (proper) Sinclair machine I never owned. What's it like? I've seen them going on ebay and I've been tempted to buy one just to have a play

132MHz PowerMac 9500 (BeOS PR1, Mac OS 8.6, & Mac OS X DP2)Wow, I thought Apple had removed 604/604e compatibility with the developer previews. I was under the impression that they were G3 only.

 Well, I'll have to give that a try.

A 604 at 132 MHz seems a little slow though. How does it run with DP2 on it?

DP2 is a little clunky on the 9500/132, but usable. Many times while playing around with it I'll get an error stating something along the lines of "This feature has not yet been implemented.", but that's expected from DP2. I'd really like to find a copy of Rhapsody DR2 and see if how well it runs on the machine.

Rhapsody DR2 (Rhapsody 5.1) ran quite nice on my 8500/132. Currently the only thing I have running DR2 is my ThinkPad (Pentium 133). I run Rhapsody 5.6 (Mac OS X Server 1.2v3) on my 7500 (with a 604e/225 daughter card) because it is more stable and works better with most of my apps... some of which won't run in DR2.

Wallstreet Powerbook (motherboard and CPU daughtercard toast - will repair)
iMac DV
iMac DV (SE?)
eMac 1.25

It's funny, I always wanted a blazing fast G5 tower, but after getting the eMac for really really cheap it turned out that I didn't need anymore than that.

See sig. The 185c sadly has never powered up since I aquired it. Needs a power adapter and I haven't gotten around to buying one. (I still have to c64 stored away somewhere at my parents house as well)
