Before people jump all over this article, I will note the first couple of paragraphs are predicated on a joke (he disregards the stock split in the conclusion), then goes on to note that anybody long on the stock should still be happy, even at current rates...

That was kind of strange. His meaning was pretty obfuscated. First you think he's bashing their stock, then you realize he's joking... then he starts talking about something else. Maybe it's just me, but I find these guys (at the motley fool) really hard to understand. I mean, the stock did split right? So the fact that stock is at $37 now, is better than before when half as many stocks where at less than double $37. There were half as many at $70 each. Now there are twice as many at $37 each. Doesn't that mean if they hadn't split they'd be at approximately $74 each?
... a little confused.

Though I'm not fond of Motley Fool's articles, my impression is that Apple is defying market expectations more successfully then anticipated and the market is not happy about that. Now my head hurts, I must nap.
