Rock paper scissors is a very stratigical game :D - you have to do it just right. If you know a person really well, you can see what they are going to do just by the look on their face. Usually, I mischevious look is either the one they last did (eg: they did rock, and they will have a mischevious look if they use it 2x in a row), or Paper. If they look confident they are usually choosing rock. If they are cautious they probably will choose either scissors or paper. Usually scissors though. It is a lot like poker, you must keep a straight face - you can't telepath your next move. I am a rock paper scissors expert. Just listen and learn :D.

You should have made a 'they are all equal' option because they are all equal...

Is it really that shocking?

But's all about sizing up your opponent. I'll through in what I think is going to win - which is why I agree that they're all equal and different situations require different tactics.

Another version of this is if you have a large group of people and you do it to pick one. You all through in your hands and the most people with the same throw stay in, till you're down to two and play the regular version.

In the White Wolf Games LARP "World Of Darkness" system they added "The Bomb" which is a "Rock" with the thumb extended that represents an overwhelming ability only counterable with Scissors. U have to declare you can use it if you have such an ability, this often makes a good gambit to "force" "Scissors" out of an opponent.:D ;)

Rock (You are the type who uses brute force to acheive goals)
Paper (You are the type who uses subversion to acheive goals)
Scissors (You are the type who uses precise action to acheive goals)

I disagree with your entire premise.

Obviously, you are a Scissors guy. Why else would you diss on Rock and Paper? Rock is brute force and paper is subversive? I guess the only way to win with nobility is to go the Scissors route, huh?

Let me see you in the fields of war. I will show you such feats, that you will tremble in the face of Paper! The mere act of getting a receipt will force you to break out in a cold sweat... Bring it!

I have a similar (less brutal) observation: I use all 3... so how shall I vote?;)

Yes, whenever I pick scissors I cut myself (Your probably wondering how this can happen with two fingers, I won't go into the details).;)

Actually I voted for paper...

I don't see what's wrong with using a bit of intrigue to avoid a fight or making use of brute force if the odds are in your favor.

scissors is always the best choice anyway unless you go against a guy who picks rock all the time.
