Seing how many objects are selected...

Hi! I'm having a problem seing how many objects are selected when I navigate in Finder's windows. In Snow Leopard, there used to be a grey bar at the bottom telling you these infos, but this seems to be gone in Lion. Anyone knows how to get it back? Is this a very very dumb question, because I asked it on Apple Support website and no one answered :(
