Downloaded the lion compatible growl mail

Went into mail.app to check the option
I even unchecked the notify only when mail is minimized and made sure my email is checked and all I get is the normal chyme

No growl

Try going in to System Preferences>Growl>Applications, highlight GrowlMail, click Configure, then go in to the Notifications tab and check that the notification for new mail in enabled. Also do you still have the zip file? If so can you check that you downloaded Growl Mail 1.3.

I know Growl Mail has had some issues when they come out with minor changes to OS X and i happened to find this link http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=201012041205380&query=Growl+mail that shows how to make a growl notify option that doesn't rely on GrowlMail to be update to date with the latest operating system version. However, i found that when i click on the Growl notification, it doesn't automatically open Mail. Does anyone know of a good solution for this?
