hate new finder view options

how do i view my stuff arranged by kind in the old view? when i arrange by kind now it does this stupid little coverflow thing :(

Apple made this one very complicated:


Choose "Arrange by: None"
Press and hold Alt
Right click in a blank space in the finder, while still holding Alt
Choose Sort by: Name/Modified/Whatever
Let go of Alt, done!

In that cover flow view, you can click "show all" to make it all fit in the window. I don't think there is a permanent show all option, which really makes it kind of pointless for me.
