After upgrading to Lion the bigger toolbar light controls in Snow Leopard on my MacBook Pro (which is a Core Duo & so can't upgrade to Lion) started to annoy me and so I searched for a mod and found this:

They're pretty well spot on for blue, graphite is a little shinier though, but they will do the job nicely :)

I'd like to go the other way. The SL ones look better to me (as well as SL icons).

I thought that too at first but then after using Lion for a while I can see that Apple is trying to make the GUI elements less noticeable and distracting (hence the grey icons everywhere). It fits in perfectly with their fullscreen philosophy, you and your content. Nothing else.

I like the Lion lights, they aren't actually that much smaller in clicking area. Plus, Apple usually keeps to their previous UI changes in the next releases, so I wanted them on my 10.6 MBP. Wouldn't mind finding the scrollbars and window shade too.
